Roserade

It attracts prey with a sweet scent, and downs it with thorny whips hidden in its arms.  With the movements of a dancer, it strikes with the whips densely lined in thorns.  The more toxic its poison is, the sweeter the aroma it uses for hunting prey.  Each of its hands contain different toxins, but both jab with near-fatal power.

In third generation, Roselia was first introduced.  It was okay to use, but had some bad base stats.  It wasn't all that fast, and was easily bruised by physical attacks, especially Super-effective ones.  Then the Diamond & Pearl games were released.  Roselia got a good evolution- Roserade.  Fourth generation was Roserade at its best.  It doesn't have the best HP stats with only a base of 60.  Its Physical attack stat is okay, with a base of 70, and it still doesn't do well with physical attacks only having a base Defense stat of 55.  It has a base Speed of 90, which isn't bad.  Its specially based stats are what make it good.  It has a base Sp. Defense stat of 105 and an amazing Sp. Attack stat of 125.  This pretty much means it's great to give Roserade specially based movesets.  It gets 4 weaknesses, which is better than a pure Grass-Type and other Grass-Types when it comes to weaknesses.  Its overall base stat total is 505, which is okay enough I guess...

Roserade's movepool is relatively limited, as it only gets coverage for about eight of the seventeen types, at least, when it comes to damaging attacks.  Roserade gets two of the three entry hazard moves.  These are moves that hurt the opponent's Pokemon when they're sent out to battle.  The first is Spikes, but Flying-Type and Levitating Pokemon avoid it.  You can set up Toxic Spikes, which poisons the opponent's Pokemon upon them being sent out to the field.  Set up two sets of Toxic Spikes, and the poison will be more damaging.  Steel-Types are immune to all that, but those aside, Toxic Spikes and Spikes work well together, and these are the kinds of things that are great on Pokemon like Roserade.  Roserade also learns Sleep Powder, which makes your opponent fall asleep when it hits.  For recovery, it has Synthesis, Leech Seed, Giga Drain- (which technically counts as a recovery move as it restores HP), & Ingrain.  Roserade can use Aromatherapy, which makes it a good supporter, as it heals all the status problems of your party's Pokemon when used.  Roserade should be specially based, since its Sp. Attack stat is way higher than its physical Attack.  There's moves like Leaf Storm, Weather Ball, Giga Drain, Extrasensory, Sludge Bomb, Hidden Power, Shadow Ball, and yes, Hyper Beam.

As far as abilities go, Roserade's aren't all that bad.  The first Poison Point.  Physical contact with Roserade has a chance of poisoning the opponent.  Not too bad, but you can always use Toxic instead, and the other two abilities are better, but this is an ability to keep in mind.  Then there's Natural Cure.  Roserade's status problems are healed just by switching out.  This is an amazing ability is an ability that some usable Pokemon, (besides Corsola), seem to get.  This helps Roserade be a good lead Pokemon, and it also helps because of the entry hazards it has access to.  It helps a lot with users of Spore, Hypnosis, and Sleep Powder.  Roserade's hidden ability is Technician.  Moves with a base power of 60 or lower get a boost.  This is amazing ability, especially with moves like Weather Ball and Magical Leaf.  Another great ability overall.

To sum Roserade up, it is an exceptionally okay Pokemon.  Many other overviews agree that it isn't as good now as it was last generation, but it can still hold its own in battle.  She's a toxic Pokemon with an evolution to a popular "pre-evo".  With okay Speed, but not the greatest physical offensive and defensive stats, and great Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense stats, Roserade is simply one of those great Pokemon that should be carefully considered when you battle it.  Also equipped with good abilities, and fewer weaknesses than most other grass types, Roserade isn't the thing to be messed around with.

Scrafty

Groups of Scrafty beat up anything that enters their territory.  Each can spit acidic liquid from their mouths. They can also smash concrete block with their kicking attacks.  The one in the group with the biggest crest is the leader.

Scrafty looks so awesome.  His sprite in the games make him look mindless, but he's really tough.  Loose skin behind his head can be stretched over on his head to be worn like a ski mask.  He also has a cool scarlet Mohawk-like crest.  He's the only Dark-And-Fighting-Type in existence, all pre-evolved forms aside.  Scrafty's stats are pretty good.  Both of its Defensive stats are fairly high with bases of 115.  Defensive stats are top priorities in Pokemon; if they can't easily take hits, they're history.  However, Scrafty only has a base HP stat of 65, and a low Speed stat of 58.  Even though Scrafty has low Sp. Attack, he can make do without it, as he has way better Physical moves.  Even though Scrafty only has a base Attack stat of 90, he still can make for an okay Physical Sweeper.  Scrafty has good stats overall.

Scrafty gets access to many great attacks.  Keep in mind that Scrafty needs to stay Physically based to match its higher Physical offensive stat.  This means no Hidden Power, no Hyper Beam, and no Focus Blast.  Anything that's Specially based needs to stay off of Scrafty.  Scrafty can Focus Punch by leveling up, and can also learn Substitute.  Substitute takes damage for the user while the user takes none at all, but still can inflict damage on opponents.  And Focus Punch is a really powerful move, but takes two moves to charge up.  If the user is hit by a move during the two turns, then Focus Punch won't hit.  Just set up Substitute and you won't get hit by attacks.  That'll give you enough time to charge up Focus Punch.  Scrafty can also learn the Elemental Punches, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, and Thunderpunch.  He even learns Dragon Dance, a move that boosts its Attack and Speed stats- that makes Scrafty extremely stronger.  He also learn Drain Punch, which is not only a STAB move, but does damage & drains the opponents HP, restoring your HP.  Lots of other great moves Scrafty can get are Headbutt, Brick Break, Chip Away, Crunch, Facade, Rock Climb, Hi Jump Kick, Crunch, Head Smash, Counter, Zen Headbutt, Strength, Dragon Claw, Toxic, Bulk Up, Frustration, Return, Dig, Poison Jab, Fling, Retaliate, Giga Impact, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, and finally, Dragon Tail.

Like many other Pokemon, Scrafty gets 2 abilities and Dream World Ability as well.  The first one is Moxie, which is arguably the best ability Scrafty has to offer.  Every time Scrafty KO's an opponent Scrafty's Attack stat goes up by 1 stage.  This can make him more powerful for the next Pokemon, and if Scrafty's lucky, he'll get a second Attack boost after KO-ing that Pokemon.  That was a bit over exaggerated, but Moxie is still a great ability nonetheless.  Up next is Shed Skin, an ability that gives the Pokemon a chance to heal its own status problems, even Sleep!  This ability can really save your butt against Poison or Burn damage.  So it's a useful ability, not as hardcore as Moxie, but still a great ability.  Last is Scrafty's hidden ability, Intimidate.  When Scrafty is sent out to battle, the opponent's Attack is lowered by 1 stage.  It's okay, but with specially based Pokemon like Chandelure, this is just another worthless ability.

In a nutshell, Scrafty has awesome looks and an attitude common amongst his Dark-Type brethren.  With many great Physical moves to match his higher Attack stat, as well as his high Defenses at the cost of low HP and Speed, Scrafty makes for a very capable Pokemon when it comes to Physical sweeping.  All his abilities are great with the small exception of Intimidate.  He's another one of those strong and tough Pokemon with great battling abilities.  Scrafty's awesome.

Blissey

The eggs that Blissey lay are filled with happiness.  Eating just one bite will bring a smile on any one's face and make them kind to everybody.  If Blissey senses sadness, it will race over to the sad person, no matter how far away they are, and feed them one of their eggs.  If it sees a sick Pokemon, Blissey will nurse it back to health.  It has a highly compassionate nature.

After reviewing its Pokedex entries to write the previous paragraph, I can safely say that Blissey would be way more efficient than my school nurse, maybe even any nurse.  Blissey also looks like a housewife that should do all my chores for me.  If you see me married to a Blissey someday, you'll know the story.  It even has the maid's dress!  On Bulbapedia, a website that I DO NOT OWN, they even say "She may be based on a nurse." Wow.  Onto Blissey's stats, we see that its HP has a stat of 255.  Higher than any other Pokemon's single stat, Blissey's HP can reach to a maximum of 714 Hit Points!  That's just incredible.  And it also has the highest Sp. Defense stat of any Normal Type, with a base of 135 and the 7th highest Sp. Defense stat if all the Pokemon!  However, this is where all of the up sides of Blissey's stats end.  Because a heavy amount of its stats are focused on Sp. Defense and HP especially, with both of the HP and Sp. Defense base numbers adding up to a total of 390, all the other stats are really down there.  Blissey's Sp. Attack stat is okay; it has a base of 75.  But it is slow with a base Speed stat of 55.  It's Attack and Defense stats are the worst, with puny bases of 10.  So we have something with really low Attack and Defense stats, something with a low Speed stat and an okay Sp. Attack stat, with huge Sp. Defense and enormous HP stats.  EV Train it with Defense and Speed, as you don't need the Attack stat too high.  Blissey has been known to take hits easily and some say it can't survive a blow from a Physical Fighting-Type move.  If you're a professional with EV Training and you know what you're doing, Blissey can be a pain in the butt for your opponent.  It also has the potential to be a gifted staller.

Blissey's movepool is wide, like most Normal-Types, and are recommended to be Special, as Blissey's Attack stat is lower than the underworld.  It gets some good Special STAB moves like Hyper Beam, and- that's pretty much it.  Blissey doesn't really get too much that gives it a strong STAB move that matches its higher offensive stat.  Instead, it gets good Physical STAB moves like Retaliate, Giga Impact, Return, Frustration, Strength, Present, Last Resort, Double-Edge, and Egg Bomb.  Dang.  It does get strategical moves.  You could use Toxic, then Protect and Softboiled after that.  Yeah, Blissey gets a recovery move as well- it's really useful, and once again, something that can annoy the crud out of your opponent.  It can use Sing and Dream Eater also, though it isn't as accurate as Hypnosis.  But still, Blissey needs some help, so this is good enough.  It can also learn Healing Wish in which Blissey will faint.  However, the Pokemon taking its place will have HP fully restored and status conditions cured.  If you switch in to a Pokemon with no status conditions or HP lost, then you've just wasted your Blissey.  Be wise with this move.  It also gets Aromatherapy, a move that cures all the status conditions of your entire party.  It can learn Heal Bell, Helping Hand, and somehow, Gravity.  We could probably go on all day talking about Blissey's strategic and recovery moves, but why don't you take a look at Blissey's movepool for yourself and pick which ones you think will be the best for your style of battling.

Blissey's abilities are each useful in very different ways, so depending on what kind of Blissey you want to "raise", you may want to consider each one wisely and pick the one that best corresponds to the way you want to, again, "raise" your Blissey.  So here it goes.  First off we have Natural Cure, an ability that heals all status conditions just by switching Blissey out.  It's an amazing ability.  It can help you overcome a Burn, Paralysis, Poisoning, and even Sleep.  That's just amazing.  No Pokemon without this ability could do that.  Second of all, there's Serene Grace.  It increases the chances of secondary effects happening to the opponent's Pokemon.  If Blissey were to use Flamethrower, a move that has the secondary effect of burning the opponent- (literally), the chances of Blissey literally getting the opponent burned will rise while Serene Grace is in play.  Again, this one is also an amazing ability.  The third and final ability Blissey has to offer is its Dream World ability, Healer.  The name of the ability just fits with Blissey real perfectly.  It has the chance of healing the team's status problems.  This only applies in Double, Triple, or Rotation Battles with your partner Pokemon.  Though you could just use Aromatherapy, it only has 5 PP and can only get a maximum of 8 PP, so if you ever run out of PP for Aromatherapy, this ability could help you.  Though it's probably not as useful as the previous two abilities, we'll save it for Alomomola and Audino. Healer isn't probably the best ability for a Pokemon such as Blissey, but if the circumstances are accurate, Healer might just be able to save your butt.  Choose whichever ability works best according to your style.

Overall, Blissey is a Pokemon with out-of-the-ordinary stats.  Professionally train one to stall and annoy your opponents and EV Train its Defense and Speed stats to get around the low stats catastrophe.  Blissey has very, very, very useful abilities and a wide movepool that matches its higher offensive Sp. Attack stat, except with STAB moves.  Yeahhh.  Not to also mention its amazing strategical options with moves that benefit not only Blissey, but your entire team as well, like Healing Wish, Aromatherapy, and even Gravity.  A caring, feminine, loving, and overall fairly useful Pokemon in the hands of professionals, I can safely say this has got to be one of the most positive, (and longest), reviews I've ever typed so far.  I like it and it has an amazing design with cute pre-evolutionary Pokemon and an original design.

Wailord

Wailord is the biggest Pokemon currently discovered.  It can dive to a maximum depth of about ten-thousand feet by inhaling to its maximum capacity.  Seeing one jump out of the ocean is a breath-taking sight.

It's obvious that this guy is based off of the blue whale. It's the biggest animal in the world and is about a hundred feet long.  He's the biggest Pokemon as of right now.  Without looking at its stats, one might just expect it to be a Pseudo-Legendary, which is a Pokemon with the same stats that a legendary Pokemon may have.  The current Pseudo-Legendaries are Dragonite, Tyranitar, Salamence, Metagross, Garchomp, Hydreigon, & Volcarona.  But enough about them, let's look at Wailord's stats.  Here's why he is NOT a Pseudo-Legendary.  He has poor Defensive stats with pathetic bases of 45.  However, it isn't too bad when you have the power of EV Training with you.  Wailord is also a slow Pokemon that has a low base Speed stat of 65.  But, again, we have EV Training with us for a reason.  Wailord's Offensive stats are okay, both having the same base of 90.  But Wailord's biggest stat is the only one left to review; his HP stat.  With a massive base of 170.  A Wailord can have a maximum amount of 544 Hit Points!  Wailord holds the "record" as the Pokemon with the highest HP stat of all the Water-Types.  And out of all the Pokemon, Wailord has the fourth-highest HP stat.  Dang.

Wailord has the typical movepool of an ordinary Water-Type.  He's got Water Pulse, he's got Brine, all that stuff, along with those scattered Ice-Type moves like Blizzard and Ice Beam.  With both Offensive stats being equal, Wailord can be used as a Special attacker, a Physical attacker, or both.  Recommended moves to have in all of Wailord's sets would be Scald, as you can Burn opponents, or use Ice Beam to Freeze 'em.  I just think that having a move does a good amount of damage and a potentially harmful or dangerous stat condition can be useful.  Other good moves, so be it if they're strategical or just damage-inflicting, include moves such as Water Pulse, Rest, Brine, Water Spout, Dive, Bounce, Hydro Pump, Heavy Slam, Body Slam, Fissure, Thrash, Zen Headbutt, Soak, Surf, Strength, Waterfall, Toxic, Hail, Blizzard, Hidden Power, Ice Beam, Hyper Beam, Protect, Rain Dance, Earthquake, Return, Frustration, Facade, Attract, Echoed Voice, Scald, Giga Impact, Substitute, & the most epic move of all, Splash.

Wailord's abilities are mostly not that useful. Oblivious prevents Wailord from getting confused.  It's okay, but not many people use Flatter and/or Swagger that much.  Then there's Water Veil, which prevents Wailord from being Burned.  I guess it's not too bad of an ability if there are some Will 'o' Wisp users around out there.  Then there's the final ability that Wailord boasts- Pressure.  An ability accessible on Wailord only within the Dream World, it's an ability that raise the amount of PP the opponent uses on you.  Instead of the opponent losing 1 PP after using a move, they lose 2 PP.  It's okay, but then, again, there is the risk of an opponent using a move like Trump Card.  Whatever; it's an okay, just not the best.

The final verdict on Wailord shows that this is a humongous Pokemon with a humongous HP stat.  With wise and controlled EV Training, Wailord's low Defensive & Speed stats can't stand in it's way.  He has a fairly wide movepool and not the best abilities ever.  But they're okay; some abilities just sulk in comparison to Oblivious, Water Veil, and/or Pressure.  I'd say it's an okay Pokemon with more pros than cons.  Overall, I like this thing, and I hope he can be more of use in future generations of the Pokemon franchise.

Darmanitan

Darmanitan's internal fire burns at 2500 degrees fahrenheit.  This makes enough power to enable Darmanitan destroy a dump truck with just one punch.
Darmanitan has Sheer Force, which is an ability that powers up attacks, both Physical and Special.  However, they lose their secondary effects.  For example, Flamethrower could burn your opponent, the burn being the secondary effect.  This cannot happen with the ability Sheer Force.  Who cares about Sheer Force when you have Zen Mode?  By catching certain Darmanitan in the Desert Resort, you can get one with this ability.  When your HP is fairly low, Darmanitan changes form.  It changes Darmanitan's stats and typing.  The Darmanitan Zen Mode form is a Fire-and-Psychic type, not just a Fire-type.  Zen Mode is probably the only reason people use this Pokemon, but he's still strong without Zen Mode anyway.
Darmanitan has varied stats, each depending on its alternate forms.  The standard form has good HP, Attack, or Speed stats.  Its only crippled stats are Defense, Sp. Attack, and Sp. Defense stats.  Zen Mode has higher Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense, and Defense stats, but has a drawback of Speed loss.  Zen Mode is a slower Pokemon, not to mention a lower Attack stat.  He still has high HP, and less crippled stats than the standard form.
Darmanitan has a robust movepool.  He can learn a bunch of TM and HM moves, and has good Level-Up moves.  It can use Belly Drum and Taunt, which are two good moves.  Be warned that Darmanitan doesn't have any recovery moves, so Belly Drum can be a tad dangerous if used foolishly.  Good examples of Darmanitan's best level-up moves are Hammer Arm, Superpower, Flare Blitz, Thrash, and Fire Punch.  Of course, it also has one good breeding move.  This move is Focus Punch.  With Substitute, Focus Punch can be a powerful attack.
So in a nutshell, it's pretty simple to show that Darmanitan is another strong and sturdy Pokemon that pretty much outclasses a lot of others in general.  This is a Pokemon that is unique, strong, and actually worth something.  I'm talking to Pokemon like my sister.  She's LIKE a Pokemon.  She beats up her own kind!  Whoops- I went to Lalaland for a minute...

Shaymin

The flowers on Shaymin's body burst into bloom if it is hugged with love.  It can dissolve toxins and transform a ruined land into a field of flowers in just seconds.
Shaymin is a cute hamster or hedgehog of some sort.  It has a second form, but you need to have an item called the Gracidea Flower to change Shaymin's form.  This item can only be obtained through a special event that's long gone right now, and there doesn't appear that another event like this is happening any time soon.  Anyway, when Shaymin does change forms, it becomes a Grass-and-Flying-Type.  Shaymin's Land form has all of its stats with a base of 100.  Base 100 for HP, Base 100 for Attack, Base 100 for Defense, and so on.  The Sky form has different stats.  This form's stats have a base ranging from 100-127; just including the HP, Attack, Sp. Attack, and Speed stats.  The Defense and Sp. Defense stats have bases of 75.  According to stats, the Land form is the stronger one.
Shaymin has a move exclusive to itself.  It's called Seed Flare, which has a base power of 120.  It may lower the target's Sp. Defense stat by about 3 stages!  Moves that only the Land form can learn are Synthesis, Aromatherapy, and Healing Wish.  The Sky form has moves exclusive to itself as well, which includes Quick Attack, Air Slash, and Leaf Storm.  Otherwise, excluding moves it can only learn from Generation IV, the two forms of Shaymin learn the same moves.  Shaymin has plenty of recovery moves, status condition healing moves, and STAB moves.  This makes Shaymin a somewhat offensive Pokemon.
This Pokemon's ability is Natural Cure.  It heals all status conditions just when you switch out Shaymin.  This includes stuff like Poison, Paralysis, and all of that stuff.  A great ability for keeping Shaymin in battle for a long time.
So the final verdict points to Shaymin being a good Pokemon, whether it's a Staller, or just a Pokemon you use to win battles, this is a Pokemon you should use if you can get your hands on it.

Giratina

It is said that Giratina lives in a world on the reverse side of ours, where common knowledge is distorted and strange.
Giratina is the mascot of Pokemon Platinum version.  He has uber written all over him.  His lowest stat is his Speed, with a base of 90.  He has a base HP stat of 150, an Attack with a base of 100, a base Defense stat of 120, a base Sp. Attack stat of 100, and a Sp. Defense stat of 120!  Giratina can also change his form when it is given the Griseous Orb.  This form has similar stats.  The HP and Speed stats still have their usual bases, HP having a base of 150 and Speed having a base of 90.  But the Attack and Sp. Attack stats have bases of 120, and the Defense and Sp. Defense stats have bases of 100.  It's just a small stat base number swap or something.
Being a legendary, Giratina has a large movepool.  Because it has two types, it has a wider variety of STAB moves, like Ominous Wind, Shadow Ball, Dragon Claw, Shadow Claw, Draco Meteor, and a move exclusive to only Giratina, Shadow Force.  All in all, Giratina has a good movepool as well as having good stats.
Giratina's ability is one common amongst many legendaries.  It's Pressure.  When an opposing Pokemon hits you with a move, the PP for it goes down by 2 instead of 1.  Not too good, not too bad.  It can backfire if your opponent uses a move like Trump Card, which gets more powerful the less PP it has.  I guess you could say it's a small price to pay for Giratina's awesomeness.
So the final verdict?  Giratina is a strong Pokemon.  It's a Dragon-and-Ghost-Type; it has a unique type matchup.  It's strength can't even be compared to anything.  Giratina is boss.

Rotom

Rotom is the Plasma Pokemon; its entire body is composed out of plasma.  Because it has a body like this, it can enter some types of machines, take control of them, and start making trouble.
Did you know that "Rotom" spelled backwards is "motor"?  This Pokemon is cute, and most of its alternate forms are also cute.  These forms include the Wash Rotom, the Heat Rotom, the Mow Rotom, the Frost Rotom, and the Fan Rotom.  The Wash Rotom is an Water-and-Electric-Type.  It looks like a washer.  There's Fan Rotom, which is an Electric-and-Flying-Type.  Obviously, this one looks like a fan.  Next is the Mow Rotom, which is an Electric-and-Grass-Type.  This one looks like a lawnmower.  The Frost Rotom, which is part Electric and part Ice, mimics the appearance of a freezer or a refrigerator.  Last off is the Heat form.  This one is an Electric-and-Fire-Type and looks like an oven of some kind.  The Normal Rotom is just an Electric-and-Ghost type.  As far as stats go, the Normal Rotom has acceptable Defense, Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense, and Speed stats, but has low HP and Attack stats.  The alternate forms of Rotom have a low HP stat.  Since they've changed form, their Speed stat is lowered a little bit, but isn't too bad in general.  They have boosted Attack, Defense, Sp. Attack, and Sp. Defense stats, but it still has an arguably low Attack stat.
All the Rotom forms, except the standard one, have their own exclusive moves that only they can learn.  The Heat Rotom has Overheat, the Mow Rotom has Leaf Storn, the Frost Rotom has Blizzard, the Fan Rotom has Air Slash, and the Wash Rotom has Hydro Pump.  These alternate forms are different, so they have different STAB moves.  Rotom has a pretty decent movepool, giving it some pretty robust moves, so the movepool is good.
Your ability is Levitate, which makes you completely immune to Ground-Type moves.  All of the Rotom forms are part Electric-Types, so they're weak to Ground-Type moves.  This ability is great on Rotom.  Well, not on Fan Rotom.  It's a Flying-Type, so it's already immune to Ground-Type moves.  Oh well, I guess that a Pokemon as useful as Rotom has at least ONE flaw.
So Rotom is a good Pokemon, especially when you change its form.  This a Pokemon you probably don't want to pass up.

Deoxys

An alien virus that fell on earth on a meteorite went through a DNA mutation which made up this Pokemon.  When Deoxys changes its form, an aurora appears.  The crystal formation on its chest is its brain.  This Pokemon is highly intelligent and wields psychokinetic powers.
Deoxys is the best thing to happen to Hoenn.  Basically, this thing is probably one of the strongest and most capable of all the Pokemon of Hoenn.  It can change into 3 powerful alternate forms.  The first form is Deoxys's Attack form.  This makes Deoxys have an extremely boosted Attack and Sp. Attack stat, with a base of 180!  Like all the other Deoxys forms, Attack form has a low HP stat, and this form has really low Defense and Sp. Defense stats, with a pathetic base of 20.  The Speed stat has a base of 150, so you're certain to go first in battle.  The next form, which is the Defense form, has incredible Defense and Sp. Defense stats with a base of 160.  Of course, now, Deoxy's Attack and Sp. Attack drop all the way down to having only a base of 70.  I guess it isn't so bad when you think about it.  Again, this form has a low HP stat.  It's Speed is cut down to a base of 90, but again, this isn't too bad.  With highly boosted Defensive stats, you have to make sure that Deoxys isn't practically invincible; thus making the game too easy with Deoxys.  The Speed form has a high Speed stat, as if that wasn't completely obvious.  The Speed stat has a base of 180!  It has balanced out Attack, Defense, Sp. Attack, and Sp. Defense stats, and of course, a low HP stat.  Deoxys's Standard form has low HP, Defense, and Sp. Defense stats, and high Speed, Attack, and Sp. Attack stats.
Deoxys has its own move, exclusive to only itself.  It's called Psycho Boost.  It's a strong move, but your Sp. Attack stat is lowered by quite a few stages.  The Attack form has Superpower, a move that only it can learn.    The Defense form has moves exclusive to itself, like Counter, Mirror Coat, and Iron Defense.  Deoxys has an HP restoring move called Recover.  Only the Standard and Defense forms learn this moves.  The Speed form can learn Extremespeed, a move that always goes first.  In general, you can tell where this is going.  Deoxys can use tons of different moves.  It's an amazing Pokemon.
Deoxy's ability is Pressure.  If an opponent lands a hit on you, the move they just used has its PP decreased by 2 instead of 1.  Not my favorite ability.  Sometimes, this ability is useful, but it can also be very harsh if your opponent uses something like Trump Card, which gets stronger the lower amount of PP it has.  Its full PP or only of 5, so be careful.
Deoxys is one of the best Pokemon out there.  Capable of more things than almost any other Pokemon, Deoxys is going to say useful for a long time.

Gorebyss

Being the South Sea Pokemon, Gorebyss lives in southern waters deep in the ocean.  Its pink body becomes more vivid in spring, depending the temperatures.
Gorebyss is a really neat Pokemon.  Sure it looks pretty and graceful or whatever, but there's some other stuff that make it special.  Gorebyss has a high Defense stat, and an even higher base Sp. Attack stat of 114.  Unlike Huntail, you want to keep Gorebyss Specially based.  Gorebyss has fair Attack and Sp. Defense stats.  However, Gorebyss has lacking HP and Speed stats, but in conclusion, Gorebyss has pretty good stats.  What a charming little Pokemon.
Gorebyss can use Baton Pass.  Really great if you have moves like Clamp, Iron Defense, Shell Smash, Amnesia, you get the idea.  You can use Agility, which sharply raises your Speed Stat.  You're a slow Pokemon, so this is a good move, also a good one to combine with Baton Pass.  To match your high Sp. Attack stat, use some good Special moves like Hydro Pump, Psychic, Muddy Water, Water Pulse, Surf, Ice Beam, Hyper Beam; you get the idea.  The move Blizzard has a 100% accuracy in the Hail weather condition.  Use Hail to ensure that Blizzard's strategy gets that much needed boost.  This is a strategy Gorebyss can use.  Gorebyss has a great movepool with a fair amount of good moves to offer.
Gorebyss's ability is Swift Swim.  When it's rainy in battle, Gorebyss will have its Speed stat boosted.  Gorebyss is slow, so this ability is useful, especially if you have Rain Dance.  Combine this ability with the move Agility, and you'll definitely see the Speed boost in action.  A great ability on a Pokemon like Gorebyss.
Like its relative Huntail, Gorebyss has a great ability, great base stats, an amazing movepool, and an astonishing design.  Awesome!

Huntail

Huntail lives close to the bottom of the sea.  To withstand all the crushing underwater pressure deep in the sea, this Pokemon has a thick and sturdy spine.  It uses its fish-like tail to lure prey towards it.
Huntail looks awesome.  It has a great design and high Attack and Defense stats.  It's good to have high Attack Defense stats.  He also has acceptable Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense stats.  The only flaw is that Huntail has low HP and Speed stats, but at least you have high Attack and Defense stats to make up for those.
It's okay to give Huntail some Special moves if you want, but Huntail is obviously more useful when it's Physically based.  You could use moves like Crunch, Aqua Tail, or Dive.  You also have Baton Pass, which is useful if you use moves like Clamp, Iron Defense, or Shell Smash.  You have a decent Sp. Attack stat, so you could give it some Special moves if you'd like.  Huntail is just more useful with Physical moves, though.
Your ability is Swift Swim.  In Rainy weather conditions, Huntail has its Speed boosted.  Seeing as how Huntail is slow, this ability is great.  Use something like Rain Dance to automatically make it  rainy in battle.  This ability will almost certainly turn the battle around when you're using Huntail.
Huntail is an awesome Pokemon with a great design and great stats, as well as an acceptable movepool.  This isn't the Deep Sea Pokemon- it's the beast Pokemon.

Froslass

It has breath that is -58 degrees F.  Some legends say that a woman who was lost on an icy mountain was reborn as Froslass.  It's body is hollow.
This is the Snow Land Pokemon, Froslass.  It looks cunning and graceful.  Onto the stats, we see that Froslass is a fast Pokemon with a base Speed stat of 110.  It's other stats range from a base of 70-80.  No, scratch that, they're only 70's and 80's.  Froslass has a base HP stat 70, a base Attack with 80, a base Defense with 70, a base Sp. Attack of 80 and a base Sp. Defense of 70.  Its stats make Froslass somewhat useful.  It has balanced out stats, none very high or very low, except the Speed stat.  So Froslass's stats aren't quite too bad.
Froslass has the awesome move Destiny Bond.  Use this move on your opponent.  When the opponent's Pokemon lands the final blow on your's, the opponent goes down the Pokemon it KO'd.  It's an awesome move and is always useful by all means.  It can use the Hail-and-Blizzard strategy, where the move Blizzard will have 100% accuracy when you use the move Hail.  There are many other good moves Froslass.  It has a robust movepool.
Froslass has the ability Snow Cloak.  It raises your evasion in the Hail weather condition.  Evasion is how likely your Pokemon is to avoid an opponent's attack.  Usually, the faster the Pokemon, the more Evasion it has.  Because Froslass is already fast, I see that it isn't a good ability on Froslass, but others find it nifty and useful.
There's nothing really bad about Froslass.  Maybe one or two faults, but otherwise, Froslass is a good Pokemon.

Gallade

To protect somebody Gallade extends its elbow to make them appear to look like swords.  It can sense what opponents are thinking and predict their every move.  It bursts out attacks very quickly and fiercely.
Gallade is awesome.  Before this thing was invented, having male Ralts and Kirlia didn't seem right.  Now that they made an evolution for Kirlia that needs it to be male to evolve, it actually makes sense to have a male Kirlia or Ralts.  Anyway, Gallade has high Attack and Sp. Defense stats.  The high Attack is useful, and somewhat predictable, seeing as how by evolving from Kirlia, Gallade becomes part Fighting-Type. Gallade's two lowest stats are its Defense and Sp. Attack stats.  Gallade has many Physical attacks so low Sp. Attack doesn't really matter, but low Defense isn't exactly the greatest thing on Gallade.  Most Ghost-and-Flying-Type moves are Physical than Special, so it makes Gallade a little vulnerable, but it has many good moves to make up for that.  Gallade has fairly substantial HP and Speed stats.
Gallade has good STAB moves- Close Combat, Brick Break, and Psycho Cut just to name a few.  He can learn Heal Pulse.  In Double, Triple, and Rotation battles, you can aim it at allies with a low amount of HP.  It'll restore the ally Pokemon's HP- it works like a charm.  Gallade can use Swords Dance, which sharply raises your Attack stat.  Considering how high of a base Attack stat Gallade has already, making it higher would make him a Physical monster.  Gallade also learns a really good move by breeding that's called Destiny Bond.  If you use it, then the Pokemon who knocks you it in battle goes down with you.  It is the one of the best moves you could possibly ask for.  All in all, Gallade has a good movepool.
Our friend Gallade has the ability called Steadfast.  When you flinch, your Speed stat goes up by 1.  Opponents don't typically use a strategy that includes constantly making your Pokemon flinch.  Anyway, the ability isn't exactly the best ability, but it's not terrible or anything.
So Gallade is just another one of those Pokemon that's always gonna be strong and useful.  A great design and movepool makes Gallade another great Pokemon.

Gardevoir

Gardevoir can tell what will happen in the future.  If it senses anything that might be dangerous to its trainer, it'll use its psychic power to create a small black hole.  In fact, it'll give it's life just to protect its trusted trainer.  Apparently, Gardevoir isn't pulled by gravity; it supports itself with its psychic powers.
Gardevoir is a Pokemon that's based off of something like a ballerina or something.  It's a good design for something based off of a human.  I mean, look at Jynx.  People though it was racial stereotype back then.  Anyway, Gardevoir has decent HP and Speed stats.  It has a low Attack stat, but you're a Psychic-Type- you have plenty of special attacks.  You have a low Defense stat as well, but to make up for that, Gardevoir has a high Sp. Defense stat as well as a high Sp. Attack stat.  This combination of stats isn't so bad, and makes Gardevoir a fairly useful Pokemon.
This Pokemon has good STAB moves, like Psychic and Future Sight.  This Pokemon can also use the widely known Hypnosis-Dream Eater tactic, which sometimes really bugs opponents, and typically works well against them.  You have some recovery moves like Wish, which restores HP one turn after it's used.  If any of your party Pokemon are low on HP, have Gardevoir use Wish, switch out into the Pokemon with low HP the next turn, and then let the move Wish restore its HP.  You can use Heal Pulse, which is good for using on ally Pokemon that are low on HP in Double, Triple, or Rotation battles.  You also learn Healing Wish.  When it's used, Gardevoir will faint.  The Pokemon taking his or her place will have HP and status conditions fully restored.  The point is that Gardevoir has a really good movepool that makes it extremely useful in grueling battles.
Gardevoir has two abilities.  One is Synchronize.  If you are Burned, Poisoned, or Paralyzed, the foe will have the status condition passed down to it.  Always a useful ability.  Your other ability is Trace.  It's an amazing ability that becomes the ability of your opponent's Pokemon.  Most abilities out there are awesome, but if your opponent has something like Klutz, then Trace is a really bad ability, but overall it's an amazing ability.  Keep in mind that in Double, Triple, and Rotation battles, you will copy a random foe's ability.
Gardevoir is a great Pokemon overall, and probably will be useful for you in tough situations.

Slowking

Being bitten by a Shellder on the head gave Slowking a truly smart intelligence rivaling that of an award-winning scientist's.  This happens when toxins from the Shellder entered Slowpoke's head.  Whatever situation Slowking is in, it will always stay calm and collected.
Slowking is a Pokemon that kinda freaks people out when they see it for the first time.  But it does have a good design, and it soon starts to grow on you.  Slowking is an exceptionally good Pokemon.  He has okay HP, Attack, and Defense stats.  As you can tell, it is also a slow Pokemon.  It's highest stats are its Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense stats.  It makes Slowking fairly useful.
A good thing about Slowking is that he has lots of Special moves to fit his high Sp. Attack stat.  If you want some good STAB moves, try Psychic, Future Sight, Scald, Surf, anything like that.  He learns Calm Mind, which raises its Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense stats.  Considering how good Slowking's Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense stats are already, it's a good move on him.  You can learn the recovery move, Slack Off, which restores HP.  Slowking has a good amount of useful moves for himself.
He has the same abilities as Slowbro does.  Oblivious means you can't fall in love with your opponent's Pokemon.  Moves such as Attract or the ability Cute Charm have no effect on Slowking.  It's okay, but most people don't seem to use the move Attract.  Plus, if your opponent's Pokemon are the same gender as Slowking, this ability doesn't really do much.  The other ability, Own Tempo, prevents you from being confused.  Swagger and Flatter can't do anything to you.  Unlike infatuation, confusion can actually make you Pokemon hurt itself, and that's why more people seem to like Own Tempo a bit better than Oblivious.
So Slowking is a good Pokemon.  Not exactly the best, but it makes a great Pokemon overall.  If you experiment with Slowking, your quest for a useful Pokemon should end with him.

Hitmonchan

Its arm-twisting punches can pulverize many foes, even concrete.  After about 3 minutes of fighting, it will take a break.  Sometimes, it delivers punches so fast at opponents, it might not seem like it's doing anything at all.  It seems to have the possession of a spirit that a pro boxer had; the boxer would want to be a world champion.  It can punch through a concrete wall like a drill could.
What's up with that purple outfit?  Is it even natural for a wild thing to have clothes on?  This is Hitmonchan, the one out of the "Hitmon" category that seems to be based off of a boxer, and is therefore focused on punching- (just check out its movepool).  It has a high Attack stat; no big surprise there.  It has high Sp. Defense as well, making it useful for surviving a few super-effective Special attacks.  It has okay Defense and Speed stats, making it somewhat more robust and useful than Hitmonlee.  It has low Sp. Attack stats, but who needs it anyway?  This Pokemon has a boatload of Physical moves.
Hitmonchan is focused on punching.  Comet Punch, Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Sky Uppercut, Mega Punch, Focus Punch, Mach Punch, Bullet Punch- several punching moves.  Most of these moves are always useful, and that's what makes Hitmonchan look a little better than Hitmonlee.  Hitmonchan has several good attacks in its movepool, and that's what makes it handy.
Hitmonchan has an ability called Iron Fist.  The power of punching moves, like the moves listed in the second sentence in the paragraph above, and some more, are a little bit more powerful.  It's a great ability on Hitmonchan.  Hitmonchan also has the ability Keen Eye.  Hitmonchan can't have its accuracy lowered.  It's not a bad ability but if I were you, I'd stick with Iron Fist.
So Hitmonchan isn't too bad of a Pokemon at all.  It would at least be a great Pokemon to try out if you aren't 100% sure on what Pokemon you should use.

Espeon

Espeon has fur that is able to sense air currents and actually predict its opponents every next move.  While it is predicting its opponent's actions the tip of its tail quivers.  It can also do this to predict the weather.  It is highly loyal to trainers it considers to be worthy.
Espeon is the Psychic-Type Eeveelution.  It has low HP, Attack, and Defense stats.  But it does have acceptable  Sp. Defense.  Espeon has high Speed and Sp. Attack stats.  You usually go first and have high Sp. Attack stats. That's great, and Espeon may have low Defense, but it's only weak to Ghost, Dark, and Bug-Type moves.  In total, there are more Physical Dark, Bug, and Ghost Type moves than Special Dark, Bug, and Ghost-Type moves.  So it may seem like a problem.  But Espeon can still be a useful Pokemon.  At least you have the  high Speed stat.
Espeon has many Special STAB attacks to use.  Psybeam, Future Sight, Psychic, Synchronise are the best attacks in that category available for Espeon.  It can learn Sunny Day and Morning Sun.  The move Morning Sun restores your HP based on the weather condition.  You gain the most HP with Morning Sun in the Sunny weather condition.  Just use Sunny Day to make it sunny and then use Morning Sun to gain HP.  Espeon can also use Calm Mind, which, of course, is always useful, especially when coupled with Baton Pass.
Espeon's ability is Synchronize.  If it is Burned, Poisoned, or Paralyzed, it passes it on to the opponent.  It's really good, especially if you Burn or Poison Espeon with an item like the Toxic Orb or the Flame Orb.  Espeon has a new Dream World ability called Magic Bounce.  It's a really good ability.  Any moves that the opponent uses that changes stats will be bounced back to the opponent instead of you.  This counts with moves like Leer, Attract, Stealth Rock, Will 'o' Wisp, many attacks.  Go on Serebii.net and go to the Abilitydex.  If you select Magic Bounce, you can see all of the moves that are blocked by Magic Bounce.
So Espeon is a pretty satisfying Pokemon, and with only one or two faults, Espeon's looking pretty good right now, and will probably stay like that in the future as well.

Vaporeon

Vaporeon's cell composition is much alike to water molecules.  This makes Vaporeon capable of melting away and becoming invisible in water.  It's long tail that's ridged with a fin is sometimes mistaken as a mermaid.  When its fins vibrate, it means some rain will come down in a few hours.
Vaporeon is probably one of the most favored of all the Eeveelutions.  Eeveelutions are what people call evolved forms of Eevee.  It is one of the original Eeveelutions that has really good stats.  It has low Attack, Defense, and Speed, but on the other side, it does have good HP, Sp. Attack, and Sp. Defense stats.  Vaporeon has several good Special Attacks.
It has numerous Water-Type moves.  You might want to give it Scald, because it might Burn your opponent.  That's just awesome.  It can also learn Hydro Pump, and some Ice-Type moves, such as Ice Beam or Aurora Beam.  If you keep it as an Eevee until Level 36, can learn Baton Pass.  If Vaporeon has any stat changes, like having its Attack stat go up by 1, for example, the Pokemon replacing Vaporeon would have its Attack stat go up by 1 as well.  You could give Vaporeon Acid Armor, use it, then use Baton Pass, making the Pokemon that's taking Vaporeon's place will have its Defense stat sharply raised.  Thats the power of Baton Pass.
Vaporeon's ability is called Water Absorb.  If you are hit by a Water-Type move, you have some HP restored.  But most people are smart enough to know that if you try to attack a Water-Type with a Water-Type Attack, it'll just be Not-Very Effective anyway.  But still, Water Absorb can be useful.
Vaporeon is a really good Eeveelution and it'll probably continue to be good as Pokemon moves on.

Haxorus

Haxorus is known to be a kind Pokemon, but is strict about defending its territory.  Its tusks could saw through the toughest of metal, and would still stay sharp if they did.
Haxorus is probably Unova's strongest Dragon-Type Pokemon, next to Hydreigon.  It's just like any other Dragon-Type.  High stats, takes longer to level up, cool design, great stats, awesome attacks, everything.  Haxorus has a normal amount of HP, not a lot, but not a small amount of it either.  Haxorus has a really high Attack stat with a base of 140.  It has okay Speed, Sp. Defense, and Defense stats, but has a surprisingly low Sp. Attack stats.  But that being said, Haxorus has many varieties of not only Special Attacks, but Physical Attacks as well.  Also, kudos for that awesome shiny sprite.
If you want the strongest Physical Dragon-Type attack Haxorus can learn, you would give it Outrage.  If you don't like the idea of Outrage confusing you and all that, you might want to give Haxorus Dragon Claw.  Haxorus  can learn Swords Dance, which sharply raises your Attack stat.  It would make Haxorus a Physical monster!  If you want you could also teach Haxorus Guillotine, one of those famous One-Hit KO moves.  It can use moves like Counter, Reversal, and Night Slash as great Physical moves for Haxorus.  It can also use great Physical TM's including Poison Jab, Brick Break, X-Scissor, Rock Slide, Shadow Claw, Earthquake, everything!
Haxorus has the abilities Rivalry and Mold Breaker.  Rivalry is a risky move sometimes.  If the opponent's Pokemon out in battle is the same gender as Haxorus, your Attack stat increases.  If your opponent's Pokemon is the opposite gender as Haxorus, your Attack stat decreases.  It's not bad, considering Haxorus already has high Attack stats.  Mold Breaker is an awesome ability that ignores the effects of most abilities.  Let's say that your opponent's Pokemon has the ability Levitate.  It makes your opponent immune to Ground-Type attacks.  Mold Breaker would ignore that effect of Levitate, and the Pokemon with Levitate could be hit with Ground-Type moves.  Please note this does not work with Flying-Types.
So Haxorus is the whole package.  It is certain to be a strong Dragon-Type not only now, but later in the future as well.

Gengar

Under the full moon, Gengar enjoys mimicking the shadows of people, and laughs at their fright.  If you feel a sudden chill, they say Gengar is nearby- usually trying to lay a curse on you.
Gengar is the original Ghost-Type Pokemon.  Gengar is also part Poison-Type.  Like many other Ghost-Types, he doesn't have the biggest HP stat, and Gengar also has low Attack and Defense stats.  But who needs Defense- Gengar is a Ghost-Type, and he's impervious to Fighting-Type Moves, which is where many Physical Attacks come from.  Gengar also has a lot of Special Moves available as well, so he doesn't need the Attack stat either.  Gengar has average Sp. Defense stats and really high Speed and Sp. Attack stats.  The Speed part of Gengar is what makes him so useful; if you have low HP stats, you can go first before some damage is inflicted on you.
Gengar is best as a Specially-Based Pokemon.  He has moves like Shadow Ball, the sometimes useful Hyper Beam, Dark Pulse, Sludge Bomb, and even Perish Song by breeding.  Gengar can use the "Hypnosis-Dream Eater " strategy, and he can also use Nightmare, too.  The way I see it, Gengar is full of potential.
Gengar's only ability is Levitate.  You're immune to Ground-Type moves.  Without this ability, Gengar would have another Super-Effective Weakness.  Unless you're battling against an opponent with Mold Breaker, Levitate will always be handy.
So there's nothing bad to say about Gengar, and makes a great Ghost-Type for the main story, WiFi battles, first-time players, everything.  Yeah, Gengar's awesome.
