Gardevoir

Gardevoir can tell what will happen in the future.  If it senses anything that might be dangerous to its trainer, it'll use its psychic power to create a small black hole.  In fact, it'll give it's life just to protect its trusted trainer.  Apparently, Gardevoir isn't pulled by gravity; it supports itself with its psychic powers.
Gardevoir is a Pokemon that's based off of something like a ballerina or something.  It's a good design for something based off of a human.  I mean, look at Jynx.  People though it was racial stereotype back then.  Anyway, Gardevoir has decent HP and Speed stats.  It has a low Attack stat, but you're a Psychic-Type- you have plenty of special attacks.  You have a low Defense stat as well, but to make up for that, Gardevoir has a high Sp. Defense stat as well as a high Sp. Attack stat.  This combination of stats isn't so bad, and makes Gardevoir a fairly useful Pokemon.
This Pokemon has good STAB moves, like Psychic and Future Sight.  This Pokemon can also use the widely known Hypnosis-Dream Eater tactic, which sometimes really bugs opponents, and typically works well against them.  You have some recovery moves like Wish, which restores HP one turn after it's used.  If any of your party Pokemon are low on HP, have Gardevoir use Wish, switch out into the Pokemon with low HP the next turn, and then let the move Wish restore its HP.  You can use Heal Pulse, which is good for using on ally Pokemon that are low on HP in Double, Triple, or Rotation battles.  You also learn Healing Wish.  When it's used, Gardevoir will faint.  The Pokemon taking his or her place will have HP and status conditions fully restored.  The point is that Gardevoir has a really good movepool that makes it extremely useful in grueling battles.
Gardevoir has two abilities.  One is Synchronize.  If you are Burned, Poisoned, or Paralyzed, the foe will have the status condition passed down to it.  Always a useful ability.  Your other ability is Trace.  It's an amazing ability that becomes the ability of your opponent's Pokemon.  Most abilities out there are awesome, but if your opponent has something like Klutz, then Trace is a really bad ability, but overall it's an amazing ability.  Keep in mind that in Double, Triple, and Rotation battles, you will copy a random foe's ability.
Gardevoir is a great Pokemon overall, and probably will be useful for you in tough situations.
