Swoobat

Swoobat is the Courting Pokemon.  It emits sound waves with different frequencies from its heart-shaped nose  Some of these are powerful enough to actually turn rocks to rubble.
Swoobat, a cute, psychic bat thing from the Unova region. His French name is Rhinolove!  Swoobat is Psychic and Flying Type.  It's an okay type matchup, but you have 5 super-effective weaknesses.  However, you are immune to Ground-Type moves,  as if that wasn't already completely obvious.  Swoobat has pretty low stats.  Not too much HP, Attack, Defense, or Sp. Defense.  Swoobat has okay Sp. Attack, and high Speed.  But that's it, and it doesn't add up to high stats.  It's why we almost never see Swoobat in the upper tiers.  In fact, I think the only place you'll see a Swoobat is against CPU's in the game.
Swoobat can use Odor Sleuth.  When this move is used, Normal and Fighting moves can hit Ghost-Types.  It's not that bad.  Swoobat can use the always useful Calm Mind attack.  It can learn Attract, which is actually a great move, seeing as how most Pokemon that are infatuated are usually "immobilized by love".  Most of Swoobat's moves are mostly STAB moves.  STAB means Same Type Attack Bonus.  For example, Swoobat is a Psychic and Flying type, so its Psychic and Flying-Type moves are a little bit more powerful.   Swoobat can use Synchronise, Psychic, Fly, Air Slash, etc.  It can use Roost, which is also useful, and the powerful move Endeavor.
Swoobat's ability Klutz is terrible.  You can't use help items except for Macho Brace, Lucky Egg, Exp. Share, etc.  It's other ability is Unaware.  Your Swoobat can't have it's ability changed.  Moves like Skill Swap have no effect.  That is kinda stupid, though, considering that your ability is an ability that prevents itself from changing.  Pretty pointless.
Swoobat is an okay Pokemon, but after something like Crobat, you'd expect something a little better.  But I will still always think of it as a cute Courting Pokemon...
