Mothim loves the honey that comes from flowers, but won't gather any itself. So it flutters around, plotting to steel honey from where Combee live. Mothim doesn't keep a nest.
Female Burmy evolve into Wormadam, whereas Male Burmy evolve into Mothim. Not only is its design lackluster, but so are Mothim's base stats. Its highest stats, which are its Attack and Sp. Attack, only have a puny base of 94. Although now you can keep Mothim Physically based or Specially based. You have an okay Speed stat, and a balanced out HP stat. Mothim has really poor Defense and Sp. Defense stats, making it easy to KO in battle.
Mothim can use Quiver Dance, which boosts the Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense, and Speed stats of the user. Use it a couple of times in battle, and it might make Mothim a tad stronger but because you're so vulnerable, it's kinda pointless to use this move at all. You have STAB moves like Air Slash, Silver Wind, Bug Buzz, U-Turn, and those are actually all of Mothim's best STAB moves. However, Mothim can use Psychic and a few other good moves, so you could say it just has a mild movepool.
Mothim's ability is Swarm, which powers up Bug-Type move when HP is fairly low. Always useful as you can tell, because Mothim needs all the help it can get.
So Mothim isn't really the best Pokemon overall, but it's safe to say that it isn't the worst.
Oh cool I was wondering what evolution this Pokemon was on he looks awesome surprised it comes from a male burmy. So ONLY male burmy can evolve into Mothim?
ReplyDeleteyeah, the female Burmy turn into Wormadam. It's better than Combee- only the females evolve, which sorta makes sense, as it turns into Vespiquen, which sorta has the word queen in it, but is still sux.
