Hitmonlee

Its leg can stretch to twice as long as their original length, making them useful for kicking opponents both close and further.  In fact, first time opponents are startled and surprised to see them stretch out like this.  When it kicks, the sole of its foot turns just about as hard as a diamond when it hits, destroying the opponent.
Hitmonlee is is the one in the "Hitmon" evolutions that is geared toward kicking.  It's a Fighting-Type, so naturally, it has a high Attack stat.  I personally think it looks like a living punching bag.  I think it's why Hitmonlee has high Sp. Defense stats.  Probably not I dunno- the point is, it has a high Sp. Defense stat.  Considering you're weak to Psychic-Type moves, this high stat isn't really too bad.  It has low HP and Defense stats, and even lower Sp. Attack stats.  Low Sp. Attack is normal for a Fighting-Type, but low Defense seems kinda unusual.  More Flying-Type moves are Physical than they are Special, meaning Hitmonlee might have trouble with dealing with one of its Super-Effective weaknesses.
Hitmonlee is all about kicking.  It has Rolling Kick, Jump Kick, Hi Jump Kick, Blaze Kick, Mega Kick, Double Kick, Low Kick, pretty much all of the kicking moves.  Blaze Kick gives you variety, and Hi Jump Kick is if you're daring or just plain desperate for a strong Fighting-Type move.  If you don't want to risk losing a ton of HP, you might want to stick to Jump Kick, only because it has higher accuracy.  You also have Close Combat, which is always awesome for all kinds of tough opponents.  Hitmonlee has a good moveset overall.
Hitmonlee has two abilities.  One is called Limber, where you're basically immune to Paralysis.  It's good against Electric-Type opponents, but it isn't always the most useful ability.  It's not bad though, just not the greatest.  The second ability is Reckless.  The power of moves with recoil damage goes up.  However, the amount of recoil damage you take is increased due to the moves being more powerful.  I'm not sure if Hi Jump Kick or Jump Kick are recoil moves, because if they aren't, Hitmonlee basically has no recoil moves.  I'm not sure if this ability works on Hitmonlee or not, but if it does, that's your choice.
So Hitmonlee is a good Pokemon.  Good Design, good movepool, even good Pokedex information.  It might not exactly be the best Pokemon for all, so that's probably why it's strictly just an "In-Between Review".

  1. No, you still want to use high jump kick, I don't know which gen u are talking about, but currently high jump kick has 130 base damage with 90 accuracy, its worth it.
